DWI Accidents Injure Thousands Each Year
A report from the Texas Department of Transportation showed that 47,000 people were injured in DWI accidents in 2012. Although DWI accidents tend to occur on weekends and holidays, reports have shown that they happen every night of the week and at almost any time of day. Thousands of families are affected every year by the deaths, injuries and expenses endured by both drunk drivers and their victims. Despite both increased awareness and stiffer penalties, drunk driving still injures enough people each year to fill Houston’s Minute Maid Park baseball stadium.
